According to TechCrunch AI, Google is expanding its Gemini AI assistant integration in Chrome to India. The rollout represents a significant expansion of the feature’s geographic availability.
As part of this deployment, Gemini will support eight Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu, and Tamil. This multi-language support demonstrates Google’s effort to make its AI tools accessible to India’s diverse linguistic population.
The expansion brings Chrome’s integrated AI capabilities to one of the world’s largest internet markets, where users will be able to interact with Gemini directly within their browser in their preferred local language.
