Accenture has announced major partnership expansions with both Anthropic and OpenAI, positioning itself to deploy AI technologies across enterprise clients through parallel strategic relationships.
Partnership with Anthropic
According to Anthropic’s announcement, the companies are forming the Accenture Anthropic Business Group, making Anthropic one of Accenture’s select strategic partners with a dedicated practice built around Claude. Approximately 30,000 Accenture professionals will receive training on Claude, “creating one of the largest ecosystems of Claude practitioners in the world,” according to the announcement.
Accenture will also become a premier AI partner for coding with Claude Code, making it available to “tens of thousands of its developers.” The partnership includes a new joint offering to help CIOs measure value and adopt AI across engineering organizations, with initial industry solutions targeting regulated industries including financial services, life sciences, healthcare, and public sector.
According to Anthropic, the company’s enterprise market share has grown from 24% to 40%. Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic, stated: “Accenture brings deep enterprise transformation experience, and Anthropic brings the most capable models.”
Partnership with OpenAI
In a separate announcement on OpenAI’s website, Accenture revealed it will equip tens of thousands of its professionals with ChatGPT Enterprise, representing “the largest number of professionals upskilled through OpenAI Certifications.” OpenAI will be “one of Accenture’s primary AI partners for its next generation of AI-powered services,” according to the announcement.
The companies are launching a flagship AI client program combining OpenAI’s enterprise products with Accenture’s expertise. Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI, said: “Accenture plays an important role in helping companies adopt the technologies that define each new era.”
